Get into the Holiday Spirit
There’s no better way to share the spirit of the season than to spend a relaxing evening with your closest friends, strolling under the holiday lights in our Greenhouse or among the beautifully decorated trees in our Christmas Shop. Choose a new ornament for your tree, find inspiration for your next get-together, or complete your gift list while you explore the store with friends and chat with our team. Along the way, let us mark one more thing off your to-do list at our gift wrap station, where local calligrapher Cheryl Dyer will create a beautiful custom gift tag for each present before it goes home.
In the Greenhouse, sip wine and enjoy a few hors d’oeuvres while listening to the soulful R&B rhythms and clear vocals from local band Mesonjixx in an intimate performance with lead singer Mary Lawson. Partway through the evening, local singer-songwriter Topher Booth will take the stage with his blend of skilled guitar and heartfelt lyrics. And warm up your holiday evening with a signature drink from our friends at Myrtle & Cypress Coffeehouse too.
Help Make Omaha Even More Beautiful
Each year, our Holiday Gala supports a local organization dedicated to promoting a love for plants that extends to creating a positive impact in our community and natural world. Last year, our Holiday Gala raised nearly $6,000 for Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium and their efforts to save some of the world’s rarest plants.
This year, we’re excited to partner with the team at Keep Omaha Beautiful, a local non-profit promoting community engagement and environmental stewardship through tree plantings, vacant lot revitalization, waste reduction education, and more. Keep Omaha Beautiful is deeply committed to demonstrating how native plants and sustainable, nature-inspired landscapes are the key to a healthy quality of life for everyone – humans and wildlife too. Even in the city, making small changes can have lasting impacts, and we can’t tell you how proud we are to help support Keep Omaha Beautiful’s efforts.
