Designing and planting outstanding outdoor container arrangements is one of our passions. And what we love most is sharing that passion with you. Here, we tell why container designs are so valuable to your outdoor space, and we invite you to join us for a demonstration where we’ll cover everything you need to know to make your own.
Why Container Designs
Container arrangements are beautiful because they let us bring colorful flowers and plants right into the places we most want to see them – at the front door, next to a patio chair, even right up to eye level. Containers are also flexible – they can be planted and positioned to suit any plant in any location – even small spaces – at any time of the year. But the most rewarding thing about container gardens is the creativity they inspire – the fluid combination of hand, plant, and design that gardeners use to create a piece of living art that grows and changes through the entire season.
Our Passion for What We Do
In our greenhouse, we’re surrounded by inspiration every day – from both our plants and our wide selection of pottery and other containers too. Our Container Design specialists use that inspiration to combine various forms, textures, and colors into beautiful and successful outdoor combinations. And for custom designs, our team is passionate about keeping you involved in every step of the design process. Before making any suggestions, we ask detailed questions about your space. How sunny is it? What color is the house? Tell us about the surrounding landscape. This way, the combinations are not only beautiful but meet the needs of both the plants and the people who take them home.
Join Us to Learn More
If you’d like to learn how our team designs these signature container arrangements, join us for Container Design on Saturday, April 28th, at 10am and 2pm. In this demonstration, container designer Jenny Beukenhorst will cover everything you need to know to create your own – including tips for designing a container garden, planting it, and maintaining its beauty all through the season. She’ll also share a few plant combinations for sun, shade, and even edible container gardens. We hope you’ll join us for this popular demonstration – we’d love to help you create your own beautiful container designs too.
