John Mulhall came to Omaha in 1953 to landscape, and now, three generations later, we’re as committed as we’ve ever been to making Omaha a more beautiful place to live. A DAY IN THE LIFE
As the leader of our Store Operations team and a member of the Garden + Home Senior Leadership Team, you’ll report to the Head of Mulhall’s Garden + Home. You’ll be accountable to the outcomes of all things related to Store Operations, including managing salesfloor sets, customer pickup, receiving, and payroll and scheduling – all in line with our vision to be the most loved plant shop in the country.
YOUR IMPACT
- Lead and manage a large team, modeling what it means to be a manager in line with our Purpose, Vision, and Core Values
- Model what it means to be an LOD our entire team can depend on through consistent touring, using your tools, and helping solve problems as they arise
- Manage a wide variety of projects including salesfloor and event sets, ad-hoc projects, and daily cleaning checklists using established principles and methods to reach key goals and reinforce daily processes
- Maintain a working understanding of the complete Customer Pick-Up process, including staging, plant maintenance, customer loading, and customer billing
- Own our logistics processes by maintaining a working understanding of receiving, salesfloor replenishment, and customer deliveries
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of experience managing a team
- 3+ years experience in retail or a related field
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills
- A natural leader as comfortable with praise as they are with candid, critical feedback
- The ability to manage multiple, competing priorities with a consistently positive response to pressure
- An uncompromising eye for organization and customer experience
