The holiday season is here, and we’re excited to invite you to our most highly-anticipated event of the year – our Holiday Gala – in partnership with Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. Join us November 15th for a beautiful evening with friends – enjoying complimentary wine, hors d’oeuvres, and live music, while strolling through our Greenhouse and Christmas Shop. It’s one of our favorite gatherings of the year, and we’re proud to see that it’s become a special holiday tradition for so many of you as well.
Get into the Holiday Spirit
What better way to share the spirit of the season than to spend a relaxing evening with your closest friends under the holiday lights in our Greenhouse or among the beautifully decorated trees in our Christmas Shop. Find a new ornament for your home or complete your gift list while you explore, meeting old friends or chatting with members of our team. Along the way, let us mark one more thing off your to-do list at one of our gift wrap stations, where local calligrapher Cheryl Dyer will create a beautiful gift tag for each present before it goes home.
In the greenhouse, enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres while listening to the infectious rhythms and soulful mix of blues, pop, and hip-hop provided by local band Domestic Blend. And warm up your holiday evening with a signature coffee drink from our friends at Archetype Coffee too.
Help Us Support Plant Conservation
Each year, our Holiday Gala supports a local organization dedicated to promoting a love for plants that extends to creating a positive impact in our community and natural world. Last year, our Holiday Gala raised over $5,500 to fight hunger through community gardening education, and this year, we’re excited to partner with Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium to support their worldwide effort to conserve some of the most endangered plant species. Margaret From, Director of Plant Conservation at the zoo, will join us in the greenhouse where she’ll share details of her team’s incredible research. When you meet Margaret, we think you’ll be inspired by her true passion for all species of plants.
